For Adult Faith Formation this fall, we will do a 7-session video series entitled The Creed. This series is by Bishop Robert Barron (Bishop of Winona-Rochester, MN).
Why should we study the Nicene Creed?
This year is the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene-Constantipolitan Creed. We should know the structure of the Creed and also the “lexicon” or language of the Creed and the events of Salvation History. Knowing what the phrases mean allows us to enter better into relationship with God and appreciate the Mass more deeply.

Our plan at All Saints is to show these episodes in the Activities Center this fall, on Tuesdays. Deacon Brian Majewski and Msgr. Lee will facilitate these sessions. This series is appropriate for adults. We are sorry, but we do not have childcare available.
Wordonfire.org writes: “Recent decades have witnessed a surge of the religiously unaffiliated, especially among young people. Many former believers have simply turned their backs on Christianity and no longer accept its teachings. But what are those teachings? And are they the same as what so many people reject? In The Creed, a new film series blending both documentary footage and dynamic talks, Bishop Robert Barron guides viewers through the Nicene Creed, a fourth-century statement of faith that has profoundly influenced both Eastern and Western spirituality, theology, and liturgy.”
- Registration is necessary for all participants so that we may prepare the materials which are used during the sessions.
- Word on Fire is not issuing Study Guides that are pre-printed. The parish office will provide a printed copy of the Study Guide.
- Note: Each individual must sign up. If a husband and wife are coming, then both need to sign up individually.
Registration is via the Flocknote Signup on the web at https://allsaintsflocknote. flocknote.com/signup/219863. If you do not have internet access you may sign up by calling Giovanna at the parish office (571-516-3143).
Registration must be completed and received at the parish office no later than 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 26. There is no cost for registration for this series. However, we need to know how many people are coming to prepare resource materials.
We meet at 7:00 PM in the Parish Activities Center.
